Allow me to re-introduce myself; my name is Jenn, J to the
E, double N. Ok, that was corny, but to be truthful it’s a pretty good
introduction. I’m Jenn and I’m your musically-obsessed, hockey fanatic who just
so happens to also be the new social media intern for Lou Fusz Kia. While I’m a
newbie in the automotive scene, I am certainly no stranger to social media,
writing, or Kia Motors. I am beyond thrilled to be participating in the
automotive industry, and even more to be doing so through writing and various
social media outlets.
Before we dig deeper, let’s talk about my love of Kia
despite not owning one myself (which totally bums me out). The ink was barely
dry on her license papers before my younger sister wanted to take her car for a
spin, but at the time she was driving a hand-me-down Saturn. The Saturn’s days
were numbered, though, and in 2010 my sister went car shopping and decided on a
Forte Koup. Her Forte Koup is kept immaculate and it definitely has some giddy-up-and-go
to it. That very same year, my parents were also in desperate need for a new
car after their old van had close encounters of a deer kind. After several
test-drives, they happily invested in a Sportage. Then there’s the newest
edition to our Kia family – last year my husband’s 2001 Geo Metro kicked the
bucket and he was in dire need of a new car. He wanted something compact, fuel efficient,
and affordable. After much research and deliberation, he ended up with an
amazing 2012 Kia Rio 5-door. The car has been a dream and I love driving around
in it. No matter how near or far we need to go, I always hope he’ll drive
because I adore the styling and all the features; even features that seem small
or unimportant to some, namely the iPod input for me, are done with precision
and done right.
Before joining the Lou Fusz team, I thought Kia’s were just “cute”
cars with their distinctive tiger nose styling. Upon starting at Fusz Kia,
however, I was inundated with technical information and “auto-speak”. I’m still
learning and it’s taking some getting used to learning this new automotive
language, but I can say that I love the car education, and more specifically –
Kia education, that I’ve been getting. I can spot Kia cars from miles (maybe
not actually miles…) away and am always excited when I see Kias out on the
road. My wish is to one day own my very own Kia Soul.
My hope for this blog is to make it exciting and chock-full
of informative and entertaining goodies and tid-bits of news. Under my watch,
the blog will be posts featuring pictures, interviews and videos with Lou Fusz
Kia staff, and posts about Hamsters, cars, the lowdown on Kia
redesigns/upgrades/cars. If you are so inclined, you can also follow along with
us on Twitter at @FuszKia, and also on Facebook at www.facebook.com/fuszkia. Please feel
free to chat with us and leave comments on Twitter, Facebook, and/or the blog
as I will always be around to speak with you or answer any questions you may
have. Pleased to meet you – enjoy!
